Miranda Paul had been a key component to Kellam's softball team this past season. 

The Knights fell short in the Beach District finals to Ocean Lakes.  It was Paul's pitching performances that provided a spark during those playoffs. 

For the righthander, pitching is simple.  "I have to find the umpire's strike zone", she says. 

From there, her teammates play pivotal roles defensively.  "It just works."

It wasn't always the case for Paul, who's had to battle arm troubles this season.  She says it came from overthrowing.  That later devveloped into tendinitis. 

The sophmore now feels she's just starting to get back to her old self. 

"She's got alot of confidence", says head coach, Theresa Jones.  "As a group they've been together so long.  It makes it click." 

Paul is also hoping that "click" will result in staying around longer in the post season next year.
