He goes by the nickname of “Baby D” and he’s a man among boys on the football field. 

Dominik Davenport is 6’1, 265 pounds and rules the field at defensive tackle for the Phoebus Phantoms.

Davenport already has his college plans set.  West Virginia University was the lucky school to win the “Baby D” sweepstakes. 

One of the reasons Davenport chose the Mountaineers is that they were willing to leave him at defensive tackle and not linebacker or defensive end.  

He’ll be joined by teammates Tajh Boyd and Shawne Alston in his freshman year at Morgantown.

Davenport was All State in Group AAA last year as a junior and he’s one of the main reasons the Phantoms will once again be one of the favorites in the Peninsula District if not the Commonwealth of Virginia.
