Our HS Gametime Athlete of the Week this week is Oscar Smith wide receiver Tim Smith. Smith scored three touchdowns during the Tigers’ 37-0 win over previously unbeaten Grassfield in a key Southeastern District battle of the unbeatens.

Smith got things started after the whistle blew to start the game as he returned the game’s opening kickoff 97 yards for a score.

Smith also caught a pair of touchdown strikes from quarterback Philip Sims, one from 48 yards and another from 51 yards. Smith finished the game with five receptions for 133 yards as the Tigers remain undefeated with a 5-0 mark.

Oscar Smith will face facing their third straight unbeaten district foe this Friday when they welcome the 5-0 Western Branch Bruins to Oscar Smith for a 7pm kickoff in what will most likely be a game which would decide the Southeastern District champion.
