Most Austin area girls basketball teams were successful in their bi-district playoff games this week, including all four from 14-5A, and move on to the area round.

Georgetown, McNeil, Pflugerville, and Cedar Park were successful in their games against teams from Bryan/College Station and Killeen. Now they head east to play teams from the Houston area.

Other teams, like LBJ, Marble Falls, Taylor, Llano, and Thorndale, begin playoff action this week after being rewarded with a first round bye, as district champions in 4A, 3A, 2A, and 1A.

Other teams still alive include Connally, Lake Travis, Liberty Hill, Wimberley, Gonzales, LaGrange, Lexington, Schulenburg, Granger, Thrall, and Shiner.
