Hunter Pinney drove in two runs and scored three times as Flatonia cruised to the Class 1A state baseball championship today with a 12-0 win over Seymour.

Dakota Pinney struck out nine in a game shortened to five innings in Round Rock.

Sean Masek also had two RBI for Flatonia (25-5-1). Seymour (17-13) starting pitcher Hayden Holub allowed only four hits but gave up 10 walks.

Flatonia scored two runs in each of the first two innings and led 6-0 before a six-run burst in the fifth.
