Three from 14-5A are still alive, with Round Rock taking on Dallas Skyline in Waco this week, Pflugerville playing Dallas Carter there, and Leander going to Corsicana to play Longview. LBJ is the only AISD school still alive, with the Jaguars taking on Rosenberg Lamar at Kyle Field on Saturday. Lake Travis heads to San Antonio on Friday to play CC Calallen, the number two team in the state. In 3A, Wimberley takes on Cuero in the 3rd round for the second year in a row. That game is Saturday in Seguin. Liberty Hill continues to try to defend its title, taking on Navasota in Temple on Friday night. Gonzales plays Pleasonton on Saturday, with the winner possibly playing Liberty Hill in round four. Blanco continues its run through Region I, heading to San Angelo on Saturday to play Idalou. And it's a powerhouse matchup in 1A, with Granger and Shiner meeting at Hays High School on Friday. The winning team may have to play #1 Alto in round four. |
