Basketball title game controversy leads to filing of replay bill

Two Spartanburg lawmakers want to require officials to use television replays to resolve close plays at high school football and basketball playoff games after their hometown high school had a potential game-winning shot disallowed at a state title game last week.

Our player of the week is an entire team. The Clover Blue Eagles claimed the first state championship in school history. Clover beat Beaufort 24-13 Friday night in the South Carolina 4A Division II title game.
