What she did: Goodson scored a game-high 18 points in DeSoto's 37-28 win over Arlington Martin on Saturday. In DeSoto's 63-51 defeat of Cedar Hill on Thursday, Goodson scored 16 points. Good- son had a combined 13 rebounds and eight steals in the two games.

The stats: Goodson averages 13.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for DeSoto (25-0), which is ranked No. 1 in the state in 5A and No. 17 in the nation by USA Today.

Who is she: The 5-10 senior forward has signed with Northwestern State in Louisiana.

She said it: "When I like to step up and score, I'm going to try my best to do it. I'm going to always play aggressive and hard all 32 minutes of the game."

Coach said it: On Goodson's consistency: "She just takes advantage of the opportunities that her teammates give her. She works extremely hard on both ends of the floor, and is just playing good team basketball."
