What he did: Broke his own school record in the 50 freestyle, won the 100 butterfly and swam on a winning 200 medley relay and a second-place 400 freestyle relay, helping Plano capture the District 9-5A boys title Friday at Allen's Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium.

The stats: Nelms' record time was 20.50 seconds. The previous record was 20.75, which he set in November. His 100 butterfly time was 50.14, just short of his personal best (50.03).
