The stats: Wright has eight shutouts. It was Forney's first shootout this season. Forney is 10-3 in district, which is third behind Corsicana and Red Oak. Who is she? Wright is a senior goalkeeper. She's been a varsity starter for three seasons. She said it: "I felt like I was under a lot of pressure before we started [the shootout]. Once we scored, that relieved me a little bit. When we scored again, I wasn't worried at all." Coach said it: "They attacked us pretty hard in the second half. When we got the tying goal [with 3½ minutes remaining], we knew we could stop them in the shootout because I think we have the best goalkeeper in the district." – Skip Stevens Did you know? Wright signed with North Texas last month. ... She was once a select softball player and didn't join Forney's soccer team until she was a sophomore. ...
