What he did: Guehler scored five goals in The Colony's 5-2 victory over North Dallas in a Class 4A bi-district playoff Thursday. Guehler scored on a penalty kick that gave The Colony, playing its first playoff game since 2001, a 1-0 halftime lead.

The stats: Guehler has scored a school-record 38 goals this season, breaking the mark (29) he set last season.

Who is he? Guehler is a fourth-year starting forward.

He said it: On making the playoffs – "I had never been there before my whole high school career. It means a lot. It feels good knowing that you've worked hard, and it's finally paying off."

Coach said it: "He was really good last year, but he's been great this year. This is the year that has really defined him."  – Darren Bailey
