She also earned the win as the starting pitcher, allowing one earned run and four hits. The win gave Garland (21-4-2, 12-0), ranked fourth in the state, the District 10-5A title. The stats: Garrison is hitting .459 with 10 doubles, three triples, two home runs and 34 RBIs. She is also 16-2-2 as a pitcher with a 0.71 ERA and 164 strikeouts. Who is she? Garrison is a senior pitcher. She is a two-time most valuable player in the state tournament. Also, Garrison was named pitcher of the year in District 10-5A and was picked all-state last season. She said it: "I thought it [her home run] was just a pop-up and that they were going to catch it." Coach said it: "She really put Garland on the map.
