LANCASTER What he did: The junior won the 800 in 1:53.19 at the 4A Region II meet Saturday at North Texas. He was also part of the victorious 4x400 relay team (3:15.56). He said it: On returning from a hamstring injury: "I know that everybody is way in front of me and I have to get back up to them in the time that I have left." Coach said it: "He works really hard, and with the credentials he had coming in – he had run state, he had some great times and he was on the U.S. junior national team that went overseas – knowing all of that, they said, this is what it's going to take for us to get to that next level." – Greg Williams Did you know? Shepard's family moved to Lancaster last summer, and he spent the first semester at Skyline before transferring in January. ... Shepard moved from Augusta, Ga., to North Texas in the fifth grade. ...
