Lyles struck out 14 in 14 innings as Keller (33-3-1) advanced to the regional quarterfinals. The stats: Lyles is 27-1-1 with a 0.30 ERA and 21 shutouts. She has 296 strikeouts in 188 innings. In the playoffs, she is 4-0. In 28 scoreless innings, she has struck out 31 and given up only seven hits. Who is she? A senior pitcher who has signed to play softball for UT-Arlington. She said it: "My drop curve has improved a lot. That's been pretty much my go-to pitch." Coach said it: "She has done a great job getting ahead in counts and sticking with what works. ...
