In the decisive Game 3, Knowles hit an RBI triple in the first inning and scored in the fifth after a base hit. She also threw out a runner at home plate to end a late Waxahachie rally. McKinney North (28-8-2) advanced to face Waco-Midway (26-5) in this week's regional final. The stats: Knowles is hitting .381 with 8 RBIs and nine walks in eight playoff games. She also has a double, a triple and three runs scored. Who is she? Knowles is a junior first baseman. She has been named to the second all-district team the last two seasons. She said it: "We can definitely go all the way. We just have to keep playing like we are now." Coach said it: "Her patience at the plate has been unbelievable. She has nine walks for a No. 4 hitter.
