FAST FACTS
Briefly
• Richardson junior Ceterracca Rockwell is climbing the charts in the 800 meters. Rockwell, who placed fifth at the 2007 Class 5A state meet, won the Richardson Invitational on March 15 with a run of 2 minutes, 18.46 seconds and is letting her dedication speak for itself, coach Dahlia Page said. "She runs out strong and is determined to end strong," Page said of Rockwell, whose personal best time of 2:13.80 was achieved at the Region II meet last year. "She lets her opponents know that she is not one that will go down without a fight. She sets her pace, then she finishes." Rockwell's work ethic is becoming infectious, Page said. "She leads others on the team to be better than just average and finish what you have committed to do," Page said. "She tells her teammates to don't just train to run, but train to compete." • Kimball's Brandon Rhodes soared 46-7 ¾ in the triple jump at the Lancaster Invitational last week and surged to No. 3 in the area and No. 8 in the state according to TexasTrack.com.
