Richardson Pearce junior Molly Hummel tucked an 18-yard free kick high in the left corner of the goal to provide the only score in a 1-0 win over Mesquite Poteet on Friday night at Wildcat-Ram Stadium.

Hummel's goal came with 1:30 remaining in the Class 4A Region II quarterfinal.

McKinney Boyd 4, Highland Park 0: Jillian Fuerman had a pair of goals to lead a four-goal assault in the second half in a 4A Region II quarterfinal.

Red Oak 1, Midlothian 0: In Cedar Hill, senior Lorina Salinas scored on an assist by senior Brandi Smith, sending Red Oak (22-2-2) to victory in a 4A Region II quarterfinal.

Hebron 3, Arl. Lamar 1: In Southlake, senior Kelsey Blincow scored the first and last goal, and freshman Kate Reese broke a 1-1 tie, sending Hebron (21-2-3) to victory in a 5A Region I area playoff.

Plano East 3, Tyler Lee 0: In Plano, Serena Hines scored two goals, and Lisa Silwinski had two assists for Plano East (21-4-1) in a 5A Region II area playoff.

Rowlett 4, Skyline 0: In Garland, Ashton Geisendorff had a goal and an assist to lead Rowlett in a 5A Region II area playoff.

Allen 4, Mesquite Horn 1: In Garland, Marissa Allen scored a goal in each half to lead Allen (23-3) in a 5A Region II area playoff.

Southlake Carroll 1, Hurst L.D. Bell 0: In North Richland Hills, Monica Alvarado scored on a header off a corner kick by Ashlea Marler with 10:31 remaining for Carroll (19-4-4) in a 5A Region I area playoff.
