Turner, threw two hitless innings against Highland Park and pitched a five-inning no-hitter and struck out 11 against Greenville. Eddy helped Rockwall-Heath (20-7, 7-1), the state's fifth-ranked 4A team, remain tied for first in 10-4A. The stats: Eddy is 15-5 with a 1.09 ERA and 185 strikeouts in 103 innings. She is hitting .312 with 11 RBIs, and she has scored 12 runs. Who is she? A senior pitcher. She said it: "Being in shape [has helped the most]. ... I did a lot of running and lifting weights, just strengthening my whole body." Coach said it: "I think the biggest thing is she has been healthy. Last year, she came in with an elbow injury, and the year before she had a back injury. The other thing she is doing is mixing it up, mixing in off-speed [pitches] and throwing her drop curve more."
