Hebron senior Kelsey Blincow was officially listed as a forward. But, it was just as easy to spot her in the back or in the middle. Right side. Left side. Or in the center. Blincow was everywhere.

"I guess I did play all over the place," Blincow said. "I helped out the younger girls in the middle to make runs so they could find me with the ball a lot."

And they did. Blincow scored 21 goals and had 17 assists. The Missouri-bound Blincow was District 6-5A MVP while leading Hebron to the district title and a second straight appearance in the Region I-5A final. It was a surprising run considering Hebron graduated the majority of its starters and had only three seniors entering the season. This year, Hebron lost to eventual 5A champion Southlake Carroll in a 1-0 shootout in the regional finals.

"People were skeptical," Blincow said. "We had a lot of young players that stepped up for us and started, and we ended up doing much better than people expected."

About Brooks: She was selected 7-5A MVP for a second straight season. Brooks had 89 goals in four seasons.

About Perlman: The four-year starter was the team's leading scorer and was voted 9-5A MVP.

About Holden: Holden was named 9-5A's offensive MVP. She is committed to Illinois.

About Garciamendez: She was selected TAPPS player of the year a second straight time.

About Rape: She consistently drew double- and triple- teams and had 18 more assists than last year.

About Alvarado: She is a clutch player who is physical and dominating in the air. Had five game-winning goals in the playoffs.
