Lewisville senior Brandon Tucker owns the nation's second-best time (13.64) and is coming off a victory in 14.05 at the 5A Region I meet. Tucker, a Louisiana-Lafayette signee, was fifth in 2007.

DeSoto senior Adrian Bushell, a Florida football signee, finished eighth in 2007 and is seeded fourth at 14.24.

Humble Atascocita's Cameron LaCour and Tyler Lee's Nick Cloud, who finished third and fourth in 2007, are also back to contend for a 5A title.

Lancaster's Kendall Hayes (14.20) and Waxahachie sophomore Sam Gagliano (14.25), who finished 1-2 in the 4A Region II meet, own the top two seeds in 4A and are developing a rivalry. At the District 15-4A meet, Gagliano edged Hayes by .03 seconds.

Kennedale's Eric Brooks, the 3A Region II champion, is seeded first (14.63).
