Mansfield junior Shade Weygandt is going for her third 5A state title in as many years. She broke the junior outdoor national record by clearing 13-10 at the Region I meet.

Rockwall junior Shelby Kennard is appearing at state for the third consecutive year as well. After battling injuries for the past month, Kennard soared at the 5A Region II meet as she finished second at 12-0.

Stephenville senior Sage Lasater is a Texas Tech signee whose season-high 12-6 is tied for fourth in the state.

Argyle's Jessica Bonfield finished in a three-way tie for fifth last season in 3A. She returns with the No. 2 seed at 11-6.
