TOP STORIESRoyse City QB Morrison commits to Arizona03:42 PM CDT on Friday, May 23, 2008Royse City quarterback Richard Morrison said Friday that he has committed to Arizona. Morrison (6-0, 170), a Class 3A all-state selection as a junior, said he committed to Arizona on Thursday because the coaches offered him the chance to play quarterback. "Oklahoma and Texas wanted me to play wide receiver," Morrison said, "and I don't want to switch positions." Morrison threw for 3,350 yards and 33 touchdowns last season. He also ran for 11 touchdowns for Royse City, which finished 11-1. Oral commitments are nonbinding, and the earliest a member of the class of 2009 can sign a football letter of intent is February 2009. |
