Rockwall-Heath senior-to-be center Austin Woods said Wednesday that he has orally committed to Oklahoma, choosing the Sooners over Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma State.

Woods (6-5, 290), who is ranked No. 220 on the Rivals.com National Top 250 list for 2010, said he'll take an official visit to OU this fall but is done with recruiting. Woods' father, Don, coaches running backs and special teams for the Rockwall-Heath football team.

"When you think of the top football programs in the country, you think of OU," Austin Woods said. "It was just the right fit for me."

Oral commitments are nonbinding. The first day 2010 football recruits can sign letters of intent is Feb. 3.
