Duncanville senior point guard Reger Dowell has orally committed to play college basketball for Arizona.

Dowell, ranked No. 12 on Texashoops.com's Class of 2009 list, chose Arizona over LSU, Cincinnati, Providence, Fresno State and Alabama. Dowell committed to Alabama in March but changed his mind over the summer.

Dowell (6-1, 170) is the fourth Duncanville player to commit to a Division I university. Senior Shawn Williams committed to Texas earlier this month. Juniors Jamison Sterns and Perry Jones have committed to Baylor.

Oral commitments are nonbinding. The first day a Class of 2009 basketball recruit can sign a national letter of intent is Nov. 12.
