I'm breaking a promise not to pick against Allen, which proved me wrong the first two weeks. But I really like the balanced Plano offense, with RB Rex Burkhead and big-play WR Kris Lott. The only guarantee is that the 9-5A showdown will be worth the price of admission.

3   Wylie vs. Richardson Berkner

Berkner rolled to a rout last season, a game remembered for accusations that Wylie played dirty. Wylie will use that as motivation, as if AHMO needs more ammo. The difference will be Wylie RB Chris Givens, who sat out last season (knee injury).

4   Garland at Rockwall

Rockwall has to rebound from a heartbreaking loss to Southlake Carroll last week against winless Garland. Rock- wall went undefeated in 10-5A last season and won't lose this one – unless Garland DE Chan- cey Aghayere dominates like a national top 100 recruit should.

5   Waxahachie at Corsicana

Corsicana WR Omarius Hines will be the best player on the field, but Waxahachie can scheme to limit his touches. Corsicana can't stop Waxahachie QB Boomer Collins from getting the ball every play, and he'll make a bunch of plays.
