Bedell was named Big 12 runner of the week after finishing second at the Texas A&M Invitational and leading Baylor to the team title Sept. 19. The junior ran 5,000 meters in 17:09.79. Bedell also finished second at the season-opening Baylor Twilight Invitational. Bedell earned All-America honors in indoor track in 2006 and 2007 but redshirted in cross country in '06 and in outdoor track in '07 because of injury/illness.
