What she did: Johnson had 22 kills, 37 digs and six aces in a five-game victory against Coppell last Tuesday. It was Marcus' first victory against Coppell in four tries this season.

The stats: Johnson has played 108 games and is third on the team in kills (295), second in digs (405) and third in aces (41). Marcus (32-10, 12-2) finished second in District 6-5A behind Coppell and is No. 4 on SportsDay's final Class 5A rankings.

Who is she? Johnson is a two-year starting outside hitter.

She said it: (On beating Coppell) "We played them four times, and it was good to know that we could actually pull one out. It was good for our self esteem. I felt like I was playing well, but I felt like the whole team was consistent and we were all on top of our game that night."
