Three members of Coppell's District 6-5A champion baseball team have orally committed to Division I colleges.

Shortstop/pitcher Chad Kettler said he has committed to Oklahoma, outfielder Jacob Morris said he has committed to Arizona State, and catcher Jonathan Walsh said he has committed to Texas. All three players will be seniors next season.

Oral commitments are nonbinding. The earliest a baseball player in the Class of 2009 can sign a national letter of intent is November.
