Mansfield Summit guard Alisha Filmore has given an oral commitment to play women's basketball at SMU.

Filmore averaged 11.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.8 steals for Summit, which reached the Class 5A regional semifinals.

Oral commitments are nonbinding. The earliest a member of the class of 2009 can sign a national letter of intent is in November.
