Mansfield Summit capped a storybook season with a UIL Class 5A state title last year. Repeating as state champion will be tough, but coach Tammy Lusinger has enjoyed watching her seniors put in the hours in preparation for the title defense.
Irving MacArthur features star-studded duo What comes off as a pipe dream for many schools is a pleasant reality for Irving MacArthur and coach Suzie Oelschlegel, whose team features a Division I-caliber star in Odyssey Sims and a budding Division I-caliber star in Alexis Jones. They teamed up to help MacArthur advance to the Class 5A Region I tournament last season and hope to take their team one step farther this time.
