What he did: Garcia led Adamson, which had a 31-game losing streak between 2003-06, to its first postseason berth in 28 years with a win Friday night. The stats: Garcia compiled 311 total yards and threw three TDs in a 36-29 victory against Seagoville. With Garcia on the team, Adamson has won 12 games since 2007. From 1997-2006, the program had won only 11 times. Adamson last made the playoffs in 1981, when it was a state quarterfinalist. He said it: "Words can't describe what this feels like. Not having made the playoffs in 28 years, and for us to make it, it feels great. All we wanted was a chance, and we were successful in getting it done." Coach said it: "He's been our starter the last three years. He took us from 0-31 to us turning the corner. Everything that we do revolves around him." Andy Gutierrez Did you know? Garcia, Gutierrez said, is known around Adamson as "Tony," which is short for his middle name, Antonio. ... Garcia also plays soccer and basketball, but he hopes to play college football. ...
