Jones ran for 226 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries, as Denison defeated Frisco Wakeland, 45-14, in District 9-4A action at Munson Stadium Friday night. Hudson Milford added a pair of touchdown runs for Denison (6-0, 3-0), which ran for 413 yards and has scored at least 44 points in every game. Denison was playing its first game without standout quarterback Jordan Taylor, who suffered a broken collarbone the previous week. Jamie Harris and Alex Bateman caught touchdown passes and Will Secord completed 13 of 34 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown for Frisco Wakeland (3-3, 0-3). Harris 56-yard touchdown catch came on Wakeland's first play of the third quarter, but Denison scored three unanswered touchdowns to pull away. Wakeland had just 158 total yards |
