Bell 2011:58 PM CST on Thursday, November 6, 2008BEDFORD – Top-ranked Euless Trinity used a time-consuming drive in the fourth quarter to preserve a 30-20 victory over rival Hurst L.D. Bell before a full house at Pennington Field on Thursday. Sophomore Tevin Williams rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns, including the clincher with 2:58 left to play that capped a drive that took nine minutes, 21 seconds. Quarterback Denarius McGhee added a rushing touchdown and threw for another. Trinity (10-0, 7-0 5-5A) completed its fifth perfect regular season and 11th straight win over Bell. Bell (7-3, 4-3) must wait to see what happens in other District 5-5A games tonight to determine if it will advance to the playoffs. Bell scored with 1:53 to play but failed on a two-point conversion. |
