Football NewsInjury to Plano starting defensive end requires adjustments08:32 PM CST on Wednesday, December 5, 2007Plano coach Gerald Brence said he was devastated when senior defensive end Cameron Kistler went down with a knee injury in last week's 31-19 playoff victory over Spring Westfield. Kistler was injured right before halftime. He will not play this week against Skyline in the 5A Division I Region II final and is probably out for the season. "I hate injuries like that," Brence said. "Cameron has given us everything he has." Luke Terrell played well in place of Kistler. Terrell has 12 tackles and nine quarterback pressures as a backup. Derek Davis and Ryan Holland could also play defensive end, Brence said. Kistler has 50 tackles and 57 assists in 13 games. He has 12 tackles for losses to lead the team. He is third with five sacks.
