G.A. Moore, the winningest coach in Texas high school football history, ended a four-year retirement last spring to coach Aubrey. Today, Aubrey is undefeated and bidding for its first district title.
Coach G.A. Moore stood in front of the crowded cafeteria last spring and promised that he would mold the young men at Aubrey into winners. It was not an empty promise. Going into Friday's District 10-2A game against Pilot Point, Aubrey has won a school-record nine games and is looking to win its first district title.
