Allen junior Ryan Holloway had at least one point in all 28 games he played this season.
As a freshman, Ryan Holloway was a member of the Allen hockey team that won a state title. But he played a supporting role.
"I was more like a sub or a filler," said Holloway, who had five goals and 11 assists in 17 regular-season games as a freshman. "When it came down to the state game, [they] just put me out there to give the other guys a rest."
Allen won a state title again this season. Holloway, now a junior, played a starring role this time.
Holloway led the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League's Gold Division in points with 61 through the city playoffs. He added one goal and three assists in three games at the state tournament, including two assists in a 6-0 win over Southlake Carroll in the championship game.
Holloway had at least one point in all 28 games he played this season, including a six-point game and four four-point games.
"He was the epitome of consistency," Allen coach David Fry said. "He led our team offensively all year, and we knew we could go to him and count on him."

Notable: Through the city playoffs, Holloway led the Gold Division in average points per game (2.44), tied for the lead in assists (36) and ranked fourth in goals (25). He had four game-winning goals, giving him 11 in the last two seasons.

David Fry, Allen
Notable: Fry led Allen to the Gold Division regular-season title in the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League, then guided Allen to the state championship. It was Allen's second state title in three years.
Did you know? Fry played professional hockey in Europe and also played for the Fort Worth Brahmas in the Central Hockey League.
