AUSTIN – The final installment of the UIL’s 2007-08 Texas Dodge Dealers Lone Star Cup standings were released on Friday, and Argyle dropped to second place behind Canyon by six points after entering the final stage with a 10-point lead atop the 3A standings.
The final standings took baseball and softball into account. Canyon eliminated Argyle in the 3A baseball playoffs in the area round.
The Eagles edged out Abilene Wylie and Wimberley, which tied for third place in the final standings.
The Lone Star Cup is a comprehensive ranking system that determines a school’s all-around success in UIL athletics, marching band, one-act play and academic competitions.
