8:30 a.m. Friday, Austin's McCombs Field
Celina (36-5): Celina has won 19 of its last 20 games, outscoring the opposition, 177-24, in that span. Celina won the final two games of a best-of-3 series to beat nationally ranked Van – the state's top-ranked 3A team – in the regional finals. This is Celina's second trip to state. The first came in 2006, when pitcher Sarah McCloud led Celina to the 2A semifinals. McCloud helped Georgia reach the Women's College World Series this year.
Longview Spring Hill (29-8): Spring Hill was the No. 2 seed from District 17-3A, but it beat defending 3A state champion Huntington, 6-1, in a one-game regional final. Pitcher Kayla Williams is 27-8 and is hitting .534. Spring Hill is in the state tournament for the first time.
