At Abilene Christian, Hillary Phillips threw a one-hitter, and Odessa pushed across an unearned run in the fifth inning to win the decisive game of its best-of-3 Class 5A Region I semifinal series with Coppell.
Laura Ramos took the loss for Coppell. She yielded just four hits including a double by Erica Armendarez leading off the fifth, which led to the game's lone run.
Coppell forced the third game by winning, 2-0, earlier Saturday as Kelli Spana and Ramos combined for a four-hit shutout.
