Tevin Williams and Euless Trinity played the first high school football game in Cowboys Stadium.

Area school district athletic directors said they're pleased Cowboys officials kept the charge for renting the team's new stadium for football playoff games close to what it cost to play in Texas Stadium a year ago.

One of Joe McBride's first goals as Coppell's new head coach was to earn the trust and respect of his new charges, writes Brandon George. Sounds simple, but McBride is Coppell's third head coach in four years. The 3-0 Cowboys, unranked to start the season, are No. 7 in SportsDay's Class 5A area poll.
