TEMPLE – Dallas Christian scored 35 second-half points to break open a close game and win the TAPPS Division II state championship over TC-Cedar Hill.
Brandon Durham led Dallas Christian with 264 yards rushing and four touchdowns, and Corey Brooks was 8-of-9 passing for 155 yards. Facing third-and-10 midway through the third quarter, Brooks hooked up with Caleb Withrow for a 45-yard touchdown pass to give Dallas Christian a 16-7 lead.
TC-Cedar Hill was led by Dominique Rambo with 248 yards rushing and one score.
