North Garland coach David Farris said his team's 0-3 start is due in part to growing pains.
"We're playing a lot of youngsters," Farris said of his team that has seven sophomores. "What we're trying to do is mold a team together that's got a lot of sophomore contribution with a lot of seniors."
Farris mentioned a lack of consistency as a problem, saying that he's using the bye week to teach.
"This group hasn't been together but for three games," Farris said. "We're just trying to get everyone on the same page. The more times they are out on the field playing, they'll be better and better."
