BEDFORD – Dexter Braziel scored the winning touchdown with 10 minutes to play, and Haltom (1-1) stopped Hurst Bell (0-1) three times in its own territory in the fourth quarter at Pennington Field. It was the second touchdown of the game for Braziel.

Haltom's Reggie Wilson sacked Bell quarterback James Mauro for a safety late in the third quarter, setting up the go-ahead drive.

Bell turned two first-half interceptions into touchdowns for a 14-0 lead.
