BEDFORD –Kenneth Farrow rushed for 255 yards and three touchdowns to lead Hurst L.D. Bell (2-2, 1-0) to a win over Keller Central (1-3, 0-1) at Pennington Field.
Farrow's spinning 38-yard run midway through the third quarter gave Bell a two-touchdown lead. Keller reached Bell's 6- and 9-yard line in the second half but could not score. Bell limited Keller to 149 total yards.
Bell was in position to take a 21-0 lead late in the first quarter when Central's Marcus Fore intercepted a pass at the goal line and returned it 84 yards to set up the first of two Central touchdowns to tie the score at 14.
Farrow rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter, including a 60-yard run on the game's second play. A finger-tip touchdown reception by Kenny Buyers with 2:24 left in the second quarter gave Bell the lead for good.
