Northeastern (Okla.) State senior defensive back Broderick Mondy of Plano East received the university's Dr. Jack Dobbins Community Service Award on Tuesday at its annual sports banquet.
The award recognizes a male and female senior student-athlete committed to service within the communities the college serves with outreach projects and marketing opportunities.
Mondy earned All-LSC North honors four consecutive seasons, including being named Freshman of the Year in 2005 and Preseason All-America as a senior.
