PLANO - Colleyville Heritage (2-0) started strong and never let up in an emphatic 56-7 win over Plano East (0-2) on Friday night.
Heritage scored on five of its first seven possessions and added an interception return for another score to lead, 42-0, lead at the half.
Heritage converted five East turnovers into 35 points and had seven players find the end zone. Quarterback Steven Hill figured in two of those scores, one through the air to Eddie Foster and another on a 6-yard scoring run. Running back Bryan Head also scored twice for Heritage.
Heritage's defense forced four Plano East fumbles and recovered three. They also intercepted four Plano East passes, two of which were returned for touchdowns. Plano East scored with less than a minute remaining when Brandon Wesley and Rodney Thompson connected on a 15-yard touchdown pass.
