'PLANO — Plano West (5-4, 3-2) clinched the final playoff spot in District 8-5A, routing Plano East, 52-14, at John Clark Stadium.
Plano West scored on all eight of its possessions, including touchdowns on the first seven, while amassing 513 yards total offense.
Travis Wilson completed 21 of 23 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns.
Plano West running back Kenny Chatmon rushed for 128 yards and four scores. He added another 48 yards on five receptions.
Toben Opurum rushed for 103 yards for Plano East (0-8, 0-4). His 41-yard run in the first quarter set up a 10-yard touchdown run by D'lyle Washington that tied the score, 7-7.
Plano East scored again in the fourth quarter, but was already trailing, 49-7.
