Update: The freshman was named most outstanding player of the Fort Worth Regional after going 7-for-13 (.538) with four RBIs in three games. His RBI single in the bottom of the ninth gave TCU a 5-4 regional-clinching win over Oregon State. Entering the super regional against Texas that starts Saturday, Coats is hitting .335 with six homers and 31 RBIs.
