KILLEEN – Rett Miller rushed for 290 yards and four touchdowns to lead Richardson Canyon Creek to a win over Frisco Legacy Christian in the TAPPS Division IV state championship game at Leo Buckley Stadium. Miller scored on runs of 4, 63, 32 and 6 yards.

After pulling to within three points on Mark Berry's 1-yard run with 1:27 left in the game, Frisco Legacy (12-2) recovered an onside kick. But a snap sailed over Berry's head on third-and-6 at the Canyon Creek 46, and Berry recovered the ball at the Legacy 27. Berry's fourth-down pass fell incomplete, and Canyon Creek (13-1) ran out the final 46 seconds.
