The Rockwall ISD board of trustees approved the hiring of South Garland coach Mickey Moss as football coach and athletic coordinator at Rockwall-Heath. Moss was 45-24 in six seasons at South Garland, including a 10-2 mark in 2007. He is 99-59 in 14 seasons overall.

Moss said his son, Austin, a highly recruited linebacker, will play for him next fall at Rockwall-Heath.

Rockwall-Heath was 7-3 in 2007, its second varsity season.

Moss replaces Tam Hollingshead, who joined June Jones' staff at SMU.
